Temple Of The Count ...
The " PALENQUE NATIONAL PARK ", located in the State of Chiapas (South-east Mexcio), was one of the most important classic Maya cities. Although the site of Palenque originated at about 100 BC. This image shows the " TEMPLE of the COUNT ", constructed in 647 AD as a part of the North Group. Because of the excentric explorer, " Count Frederick Waldeck ", who made this temple his home for 2 years at the age of 60, between 1831 and 1833, it owes this name.
