Tensile Strength - 2 Of 3
The tensile structure of this plexiglass and neoprene roof system occurs at the site of the 1974 Winter Olympics. Strategically placed columns keep the translucent roof panels elevated, while massive underground footings and steel cabling keep the entire structure connected to the ground. This scene expresses the curvature and rhythmic qualities of the stretched panel system. This photograph is #2 in the series of 3.
Photograph was taken in Munich, Germany.
