Painting - Oil On Canvas
In the heat of a pennant race, it's Wednesday night, August 4, 1993, at Texas' Arlington Stadium, and a Nolan Ryan pitch is about to clip Robin Ventura on the right arm, setting off a wild and memorable melee. Ryan is retired now. And Arlington Stadium has been abandoned for a sleek new facility. But anyone who witnessed the 46-year-old Ryan's battle with his 26-year-old opponent will never forget it. The headlock. The uppercuts. The unanimous decision. Fortunately, no one was hurt. But Ventura was ejected and Ryan wasn't, and that didn't sit too well with the White Sox. Oh yes, the Rangers won the game 5-2 as Ryan notched his 322nd career victory! This painting was sold at auction. Available at mural sizes.
