The Engineer
Each morning I waited and photographed all three trains leaving Durango, Colorado and heading for Silverton. I also waited for all three trains to return. Some movie trivia...The 1967 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a better known production filmed on location at the Durango and Silverton line.
In 1969, the line was listed by the National Park Service as National Historic Landmark and was awarded as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.
