I'm glad , you are not a buddist . estern religions are dngerous . history of far ast civilisations and history european/american contreculture proves it . I see this far-eastern "philosophies" as a cultural virus . christianity also . and other religions too . thx for comment . greetings .

Hi Tomasz, thanks for your question - this painting is about the 3 main religions of the western world, and the strife and conflict that seems to arise out of dogma. The Eastern religions were not represented in this piece. :)

I enjoyed creating these pieces in 2008 very much, this one is one of my favorites. The question, "who's truth are you living - yours? or someone else's?" is a challenge to viewers to think about the ways in which their own thoughts and actions may be influenced by organized religion and cultural stereotype, and to recognize that these are (or can be) mechanisms by which people are fooled into acting against their own interests, as well as potentially becoming a slave to those false "truths". It is in People's better interest to work together, to find commonalities, and to respect the differences between us as what makes us each unique.

Excellent work Janelle !. The high texture in the foreground and diminishing texture as you advance into the background really adds depth. Just been reading your Bio , and having a look at the Imagemover Digital Project page. Very interesting work. Many thanks for your comment on Blue Reflection Abstract" also. Michael.
