Description:

"The Barn That Once Was" was quite a find. My husband, David and I were driving down a country road in East Texas and at the same time we said "Whoa! Look!" We turned the vehicle around, as it was drizzling rain, and David got out of the car and shot as many shots as he could with his jacket over his head as a hood to protect his camera! We couldn't pass up such a beautiful old, relic of a barn. We remarked to ourselves that it was such a shame...and how in its glory days it was probably a beautiful barn.
Of course,we still think it's beautiful because we both like the relic, vintage, old feel of it now for a photograph amd just to look at, but still, we were a little wistful to have seen it all intact.
The month for the photograph is February so the grass is almost all dead. We thought it was funny how there were patches of green grass right around the barn, but we realized, being Texas, we have had quite a few warm days recently that definitely did not feel like winter and have had a good bit of rain too. Some of our flowering trees are already budding out for us!
Although we couldn't see any hay in this two story barn at the present, there were cows in the corral behind the barn. One black cow was trying her best to find a good spot to get out of the rain, but she finally gave up. She was up really close to the barn when we first stopped, but eventually walked on out into the field. Maybe she was camera shy!
Any prints of this photograph of ours, "The Barn That Once Was" will not have the Fine Art America watermark in the right hand corner. There will be no watermark when you receive your artwork.
