The Bench At The Edge Of The World
Photograph - Photography-based Digital Art
"The dream-like quality in my work comes from the fact that they are photograph-based. Most dreams are realistic, but then have something surreal about them. I get the surreal element in a number of ways including digital effects and handcolouring. I love the process because it is experimental and I can keep on trying new things until I am happy with the result. The original photograph was taken on a beautiful, crisp December day high up at the top of The Leas cliffs, Folkestone, looking over the English Channel to France. It was one of those quiet, perfect days when the sea merges into the sky".
