When I was growing up, the lady next door raised parakeets. We adopted one who looked a lot like the beautiful blue one in the middle. He was Timmy. He would fly around our living room and land on our heads and shoulders and nibble on our ears! He lived a long life. When I was a teen, my parents were gone on a trip for two weeks. Timmy was very quiet. He didn't eat much. When Mom and Dad got home he was so excited! He coo'd at mom and flapped around like always. He died later that night. We figured he waited to see Mom again....Thanks for bringing these memories back!....fv
