Our fantastic lurcher, Drzl (pronounced Drizzle), takes great delight in sitting at this window in our cottage and watching the woodland birds as they feed in front of her from the trees. On cold, snowy or rainy days, Drzl can be found sitting silently and quietly at her window where she can observe the antics of her fellow creatures. In the spring and summer months she sits here and watches the squirrels and chipmunks. I think it's good for her to keep her mind active. She's quite a runner at 35 mph when she gets out into the woods. We adopted this beautiful girl, and she brings great joy and happiness into our lives every day. For those not familiar with Lurchers, they are dogs which originated in Ireland and are a mix of one half greyhound and one half any other sighthound. In Drzl's instance, she is one half greyhound and one half rhodesian ridgeback. A 40 mph couch potato!
