Description:
This is about a scan finding a black dot on my wife's lung. I followed my internal deliberations and allowed them to guide me to the color and forms. I used the computer to put in the final thin lines and the dots. Restating the technology that started this journey.
This piece is another example of why I paint abstractly. I can not imagine a representational image that would not be illustrative or sentimental that would express the fear, anxiousness,
sense of future loss and hope all crossing the heart and mind at the same time.
I believe that everything is a self portrait, everything.

I like it Dale !!. Slightly different from your other work, and is very appealing to the eye. I also like the way you place these random lines within your work, it seems to encompass some technical facet into the very definite abstract nature of your work. Keep up the good work Dale, always interested to see what new variations and innovation that you come up with. Michael.

It is an incredible interpretation. A remarkable vision and transition from such a difficult situation.

Dale, It looks like you are making a transition. I like the neutrals and you have maintained some elements of your previous works. The subtle color distinctions and the extreme contrasts of lights and darks give this painting lots of eye appeal.
