In the late spring and summer months, bison, or buffalo, will congregate in the open meadows of sagebrush near the Grand Teton Mountains. The mature male bison will generally group together and the females with their offspring will congregate in another area until late summer brings the rut, or mating rituals, These large males crossed the road, seemingly coming out of nowhere, filing one by one until they gathered in the sagebrush and began to graze.
