The Breeding Grounds Of Hate

The Breeding ground of Hate.
Hate is not instinctive; it is learned. Hate breeds in tumultuous time. Hate is intensified when people blame others for their own situation in life. Sometimes that situation is beyond their control and sometimes it is from their own doing. Regardless of how they arrived in their current state of existence it is human nature to blame someone else. It is how governments fall but it is also how genocide can seem to become an acceptable to a once rational society. When one group of people blames another for the oppressing poverty gripping them, or for perceived injustices, hate simmers.
“All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” This famous quote is right on the mark and when good men do nothing that simmering hate can boil over and spread its vile toxins throughout a society.
The message of hate in this image truly annoyed me when I saw it. I considered using digital magic to change that symbol to something happier but the fact is life is not always pretty. It is not always happy. We must never forget the lessons of our past and the symbol behind my model in this shot is a horrible reminder that hate still breads in the shadows of poverty in America. While we may never extinguish the evil fires of hatred we MUST be aware that true evil will always exist and we must never give it a chance to flourish.
