The Challenge Before Us
I am an existentialist of the Kierkegaard school. Most of the time that belief system demonstrates itself as altruism. Sometimes I put aside the rose coloured glasses and am overwhelmed by the size of the problem. But then, then hope springs anew and I remind myself that in adversity we really shine.
“Adversity draws men together and produces beauty and harmony in life’s relationships, just as the cold of winter produces ice-flowers on the window-panes, which vanish with the warmth.” – Soren Kierkegaard
