Xueling many thanks.

Briiiiiiilliant!! Whaaaaat is it about the sight of a stranger's laundry hanging outside to dry that sooo...tugs at the heart??...The 'stories' that such sights 'share'?? The courage to show one's vulnerability perhaps?? Something along those lines. Being older than dirt, this was one of the most common sights to see when I was a kid in the 1940's-50's. Unfortunately, such wonders (right word!) quickly disappeared towards the end of the 1950's when by-laws were passed and folks suddenly 'found' electric dryers living inside their homes. Thank you and thaaaaank you for these wooooonderful memories!! Adooor this!! Hugs, Charlotte
