I love the rhythm of this piece, by definition a measured flow and movement that acquires a certain poetry that excites me! 'SHADOWS' was the hottest day in Fort Worth History, I had raced 100 miles in that heat that early morning. But my heart was only a few miles from my birthplace, the historic Fort Worth Stockyards . . .and me and that horse were the only ones outside in that oppressive heat. Beautiful work- those conte colors can be so tricky, but this is lovely, and "Dancer" seems so appropriate.
