this is emotional for me. I all most lost my sight recently, cataracts got so bad I could not see words on the computer screen. I could not see colors either, everything had faded badly. I had to stop being an artist. I have since had cataract surgery and can now see again. The death of vision is death. L/F/Pin
Douglas Fromm replied:
I am so glad that you have regained your vision after such a traumatic experience. Several years ago I had cataract surgery, but months later they returned, and I had surgery again. Now I am dealing with glaucoma, and hope that upcoming laser surgery will soon correct that. As visual artists our creativity depends on our vision, and I pray that all artists everywhere can keep their vision as long as possible. Good luck to all of us !

Fabulous work Douglas. I've been told, we as artists are more prone to selling our souls to the devil since we worry about our sight so much. There might be some truth to that. :o)
Douglas Fromm replied:
Thanks for such an insightful comment, Bunny…there definitely might be some truth to that saying…
