Anneke, Lovely, soft and meaningful. The way you paint is expressive in a quiet yet powerful way you get the message across. I am a Believer too.

Oh, My!!! Add what I said about "FALL OF THE GOLDEN CASTLE" to this amazing piece of work. So ultra van Gogh-ish! I just stare at it in wonder. And your whole gallery. You seem to do about everything graphic, that's really something, BUT even more, YOU DO IT ALL AWESOMELY, make it look totally effortless! I think only someone who at least has tried to draw could understand the depth of this absolutely flat landscape, the lovely greens and peeking-through sunshine, this wonderful gnarled old tree and the feeling of space distributed amoung its so realisticly random branches, the glorious, busy flock of grazing sheep some distance from us, an imaginary line across the top of their backs near exactly the middle of the painting; the far-off horizon line not much higher so very Dutch. So this horizontal painting (I would guess if my memory is accurate that your horizontally oriented works outnumbe vertical ones roughly two to one; I'm maybe 3 to one the other direction) divides into roughly top and bottom halves, and the bottom divides neatly into about one-third sheep and 2-thirds foreground. What I'm, trying to get at is the sort of horizontal divisions you make so effectively here (look at FALL OF THE GOLDEN CASTLE, too! And I might as well mention how different the style is in these two works!) you use often, perhaps, as one means of creating your wonderful depths. I must quit now. I'll only add that: I WISH I HAD PAINTED THIS -- or ever could!
