The Fog Clears At Dolly Sods
Photograph - Photography
Dolly Sods Wilderness and Scenic Area is an intriguing part of Northeastern West Virginia, unusual for its array of bogs, meadows, heath fields and species of plants and animals that are typical much further north in Canada. The fall colors of the wild blueberries and other low vegetation combined with the striking landscape and fall foliage of the trees can be quite beautiful. This photo was taken one morning recently as the fog cleared just after sunrise at an area called Bear Rocks for its large and interesting rock formations. I had camped in some very cold, rainy and snowy conditions to photograph here, but when the weather cleared, I was definitely a happy camper.
