A fellow artist asked me about the intent of this piece and here is my response: Unfortunately the answer is simple and short. I wish I could be elaborate and give you a savvy explanation. But it is not so complicated. Actually it is most common. My intent of "The Giving," is unconditional love and giving without modesty. It is an act of selflessness, crumpled, void of ego, survival, something given out of will or not, it does not matter. It is a mother's gift to her child, a woman's surrender to a man...But always and only a woman's gift. For some see beauty, some horror, but always something is felt and seen.
