Description:

At a Christmas/New Year's feast in Camelot, only Sir Gawain takes up The Green Knight's challenge to a head chopping contest. This is, of course, a trick as the Green Knight is an enchanted being. He is seen here making his grand entrance into the hall itself to issue his challenge. The Green Knight is one in my series of "Camelot Legends" images. It is done in mixed media consisting of Dr Martin's Dyes and Berol color pencils. Contact me for the 2008 calendar that includes this image!

It was this story I read in high school! The story saddened me, but intrigued me at the same time. Lovey artwork and depiction of the green knight! :D
