Description:

Scene depicts a Boeing 314 Clipper. This aircraft was on a flight to Australia when the war in the Pacific broke out. Instead of returning to the States with the possibility of capture enroute, she flew west and continued her circumnavigation of the globe, eventually landing on the American east coast. (02-02-182)
