Description:
The Moth is a beautiful painting of a fossilized moth on masonite panel. It is part of the Succinosis series. The textured relief of the fossil has been created using various mixed media techniques with archival materials. It has been varnished for protection. The panel has been attached to braces on the back to prevent warping and hanging fixtures are attached to the braces so it is ready to hang without framing! The bracing on the back of this piece cause this painting to float approximately 1 inch off of the wall.
