Description:

The Pavilion amusement park in Myrtle Beach was built in 1948 and remained an active facility until 2006, when it was closed with a nostalgic final season! It has now been torn down and razed, to make way for eventual upscale development. Many nostalgic visitors enjoyed the park's wooden roller coaster and its many rides and historic brightly-painted merry-go-round. Often visitors mentioned that their parents had brought them to The Pavilion as a child and now they were bringing their own children. It was a sad, final season.
