This building holds a carillon of 55 bells, which chime every quarter hour. The carillon was a gift to the people of Australia from the British government for the 50th anniversary of Canberra.
Architect of the tower: Don Ho and Cameron, Chisholm & Nicol (CCN). Opened 1970.
