FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While visiting New York City on a beautiful mild winter day on December 30, 2016, I decided that I would go to all of the places that I have seen in New York City all of my life and at one time or another wanted to photograph them but did not have my camera with me. I began at Ground Zero and after taking numerous photos walked across Broadway made a few stops and walked straight down Wall Street and stood at the corner of Wall Street and Broad Street. I have worked in the securities business for 34 years and have passed the NYSE building at night in the morning and have always said one of these days I am going to bring my camera into work and take some photos. Well I was off and planned this trip, I stood up across the street from The New York Stock Exchange on the steps of the JP Morgan building and began to photograph the entrance where the traders enter the Stock Exchange floor. I wanted to capture the beautiful roman columns and the great details atop the facade of the New York Stock Exchange. The sun was out so there was plenty of light and even with all of the tourists trying to get the same photo I was happy I climbed atop the JP Morgan staircase before the security told me to get down and got my photo that I wanted. Please feel free to read below some information on the New York Stock Exchange;
he New York Stock Exchange (abbreviated as NYSE and nicknamed "The Big Board"[6]), is an American stock exchange located at 11 Wall Street, Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York. It is by far the world's largest stock exchange by market capitalization of its listed companies at US$19.3 trillion as of June 2016. The average daily trading value was approximately US$169 billion in 2013. The NYSE trading floor is located at 11 Wall Street and is composed of 21 rooms used for the facilitation of trading. A fifth trading room, located at 30 Broad Street, was closed in February 2007. The main building and the 11 Wall Street building were designated National Historic Landmarks in 1978.
The NYSE is owned by Intercontinental Exchange, an American holding company that it also lists (NYSE: ICE). Previously, it was part of NYSE Euronext (NYX), which was formed by the NYSE's 2007 merger with Euronext. NYSE and Euronext now operate as divisions of Intercontinental Exchange.
