Description:

"The Old Homestead" was painted on an 18" x 24" stretched canvas over two coats of Gesso primer. All my paintings commence over a thin wash of burnt sienna or other earth tone color. The work is then built up with successive glazes over a solid body color. Highlights were added after the intial drying. The location of the old homestead is somewhere in Oklahoma.
