I seems as though this bristlecone pine is preaching, arms outstretched, warning of impending doom, in the Mt. Evans Wilderness Area, Colorado. The bristlecone pines are the oldest single living organisms known, some dating nearly 5000 years in age, and generally grow at an elevation between 5600 and 11,200 ft. above sea level.
