Such an emotional photograph. I don't know why we give certain plants human characteristics, but we do and this image taps into that feeling. Incredible work!

Thank you, Sandi. I do enjoy black and whites - must come from the fact that my mom and dad were both journalists and newspaper people from way back. I grew up enjoying the nuances black and white could bring to a dramatic or poignant photo.
