Description:

This painting was done in 1989, when I was suffering severe trials and severe depression. At that time, I felt no hope in my heart of things getting better. Then about eight months later, my life was rising fast up out of the severe trials and depression into heavenly blessedness unto this present time; ( 17 years later ), which have been the best years of my life. On that day, eight months after I made this painting, while my life was rising upward fast, the title immediately came to me; "The Resurrection of the Shoe".

This painting is one of about six pictures that I signed my name the outlaw instead of Steve Kreuscher.

Thanks Marlene, I\\\'m am glad when people read the story, because this piece is the most personal and meaningful piece to me, that is why I remade it in 2003 and another remake of it in 2007. I hope the true story, which proclaims loud and clear, there is hope in the deepest depair, is able to give hope to other people that are in depairing situations, to help them to hang in there and rise up out of the quicksand of self-pity which indeed can destoy the stongest person.
