This Rhode Island light is one of the most interesting ones I've ever seen, with its stately windows. It's worth a trip to the island just to see it...great example of Victorian Gothic architecture. Construction began in 1874, and the tower is 67 ft. high. The light is a designated National Historic Landmark, and still signals sea traffic coming from the Atlantic into Block Island Sound.
