Description
The Tornado Cross: Hope in Chaos
On May 19th, the day before the EF-5 -rated tornado devastated Moore, OK, a smaller tornado struck Edmond, OK. I saw this EF-3 -rated twister form, lower, and touch ground, right in front of me. I was at my church, LifeChurch.tv's Edmond campus, at the time.
Seeing the tornado touch down and begin to chop away at a forested area just next to my church, I began to run inside. In a split-second, I saw an amazing image that I had to capture. I stopped, captured this moment, and then ran inside with a friend screaming at me, "Jared, it's not worth it!"
Well, I believe it was. This picture has positively benefited so many people. It is such a powerfully symbolic image. Hope in Chaos. Peace amidst the storm. Light in the darkness. It has actually spread widely over the internet in a low-resolution version.
For the first time, I would like to formally offer this powerful graphic in full resolution for print.
Please enjoy this beautiful conversation-starter on hope. Life. Chaos. Love. Presence. Power. Peace.
