The Unconditional Love Of Dogs
Drawing - Graphite Pencil On Bristol Board
I was commissioned by artist, Janice Rae Pariza, to draw from a photo that she took of her very loved and missed dogs, Cowboy (the Cane Corso) and Maile.
They were rescues, and when Janice took them in she saved them. Only the story doesn't end there, they also saved her.
When Janice found Cowboy, he had a bullet in his head, his ears and tail were cut off and he weighed only 45 pounds. After many happy years by Janice's side, Cowboy left this world a happy, healthy, 200 pound dog. A dog with a family that loved him. When he passed away, Maile followed shortly after- from a broken heart. It's a heart wrenching story, but it's also an endearing story of love.
It was my honor to help in the memorialization of these two fine and loyal family members, Janice.
