Moscow, Russian Federation
The View - Featured 3
The View. Here you see Moscow Kremlin in winter evening as it seen from the Patriarch's bridge from the west to the east. The view is really awesome. You can see all the ruby star topped towers of the Kremlin. From left to right they are: Troitskaya (Trinity) tower. Today the main touristic entrance to the Kremlin is thorough this tower. Then comes Borovitskaya (Pine Wood) tower. It is used as official entrance to the Kremlin for the President of the Russian Federation and for all incoming and outcoming business traffic. They say that in old times a pine wood was located just in the vicinity of the tower. Then (at the background) comes Nikolskaya (St. Nicolas) tower. It is located west of Red Square. Then you see Vodovzvodnaya (Water Pumping) tower. It is located by the river and was equipped with water pumping devices to supply the Kremlin with water. Behind this tower you see the Grand Kremlin Palace which is used for official ceremonies now. Far right, behind the Archangel cathedrak and Ivan the Great bell tower you see Spassky (Savior's) tower which is the main Kremlin tower, equipped with chiming clock. In front of the Kremlin you see Large Stone Bridge. The view is really unbelievably beautiful.
