The Walkley Men
Photograph - Photograph
My great-grandfather was a photographer in Southington, Connecticut from 1876 to 1920. Most of his glass-plate negatives got passed along to his son and later to his great-grandson, me. These pictures were taken by EN Walkley from about 1882 to 1897. The scans are from glass plate negatives. The film has an ISO of 5. This is his home in Southington, CT. He is pictured in the mirror and his father is seated in the second room. He is blurred due to the time exposure but his father is sharp as he is sitting.
