Never did I realize on becoming recently attached to FAA, that I'd find so many images that evoke memories of my early childhood. I grew up in west central Minnesota, near Alexandria, and the road way to our farm was so similar ..field on the right with a wood line of pine tree to the left.. and the new fallen snow... so nice.

You hit on something that I have come to feel was certainly at work when I took this photo....something, some presence or power that was certainly greater than what I call "everyday" level of awareness. I was most definitely in a state of awe and love when this was taken....completely enthralled by the light, the snow, the cold clear air, and the stunning beauty of Nature that surrounded me. In psychology there is a term "peak moment" that well describes the experience I had that day in feeling totally and utterly a part of all that I saw.
