Her feet are swollen; she is at ease but still, she retains a sense of decency. You have an amazing, authentic gallery, Michel! Fantastic image! L/F

Michel Verhoef replied:

Hey Nicole !! Yes...she was a powerful lady, and I hope she still is !! Thanks for your big smile !!

Love your work of every day life including this great capture. This poor lady looks like she has had enough. A great capture........Sandy

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thanks Sandy for those heartfelt words !!

Glorious catch. Loving the way you are able to capture the every-day situation and the average people, Michel. As if you are invisible.

Michel Verhoef replied:

Ha...yes...just need my invisible cloak :-)))) thanks Anna-Lena !

Amazing words Maggie !! You should know that initially I was reluctant posting it at the time, but than people said I should since she shows such bravery !!! Thanks for your wisdom Maggie !!

Michel, I had injured my foot and not been around lately but so glad to come back and see your work. Of course, we cannot know everything when we look at your pictures, but we can speculate and that's why they are interesting. I see a woman who when young must have been vivacious and beautiful and certainly turned a few heads. Now the only thing between her legs may be that cane. The weight on her feet seems to have taken toll and she is surely in pain and the heat is not helping. Life may have beat her up a bit, but she's a survivor. She could hide in her home, but instead is out and about; her slippers strewn, her battered feet bare and her breasts un-tethered. Beauty comes in many different packages.

That's the word--courageous. I admire that too in this demanding life.

Never loved. Michel, please tell me what you think or feel--that would be good to hear.

Michel Verhoef replied:

She is beautiful in all her struggle and pain, she did not hide...and she is courageous ! I admire this attitude !

Powerful beautiful capture. A picture tells so much more than words... great work as usual, Michel!

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thanks for adding than some words to compensate that...:)))

Your photographs show the unvarnished beauty in humanity. Very fine work, Michel.

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thanks Anndraya for writing and liking my work :)

True artist notices beauty, where others don't. This is also very touching.

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thanks Agatha for these kind words :)

It leaves so much to the imagination. I could dream a hundred stories!

Michel Verhoef replied:

Ha...99 would be good too...lol...thanks a lot Dianne !!

Thanks a lot Yuri once more !

Another great street shot, nicely seen and captured l-f

How do you manage to do such a wonderful life picture... Models do not protest?

Michel Verhoef replied:

They never see me because I have an invisible cloak :))) lol...they get used to my camera when I stand there some time :)

This brings tears to my eyes! She looks so unhappy and uncomfortable in her body! Look at her poor, sore little feet...Wonderful

Very touching!

Your work tells so many stories...I like very much!

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thanks Sharon for liking it :) it's a pleasure !

Yes...it could happen...but some are gone before even getting the chance of aging..

A sad commentary on aging. (Of course it happens to all of us)

All your photos are so excited, you surprise the essence of the moment. Impeccable technique. Congratulations !!!

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thanks Adriana for liking my work :) and your compliment :)

I see a woman in great pain, so sad 'cause it doesn't have to be that way. Maybe some day we get it right.

Michel Verhoef replied:

It was the heat and she was tired....thanks for your concerns...

oh la la! what a catch!

Michel Verhoef replied:

Thank you Toni :)

I love this expression.!!....wm

Lol. :) I badly need a "lol" today. Thank you, Michel.

Michel Verhoef replied:

You're welcome Georgina ;-)
