This is an photograph from an old wheel. This wheel belongs to an very old
rail-bridge over the river Ems. Twice a year the bridge is removed with a crane,
because some of the largest cruise ships in the world must pass through this place on the river. The shipyard "Meyer Werft" is located a few kilometers upstream. The Disney Fantasy was one of the latest ships passing this bridge. In the years 2011 and 2012 two ships of the post-Panamax class will be completed and delivered to the shipping company. The ships are each over 1082 feet long - three times longer than a football field - and almost 121 feet wide.
