I was driving through the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park with my wife and we saw this large heard of buffalo grazing in the valley. We slowed to look at them and I turned to my wife and said, "it would be really amazing if they started stampeding right now." As soon as those words left my mouth they started charging across the prairie. After a couple of 100 yards they turned towards the road and started coming straight for us. I wasn't to worried as I was in my truck. As they approached the road they slowed to a walk and crossed the road. Once they had all crossed they started the stampede once again and they were off. I was completely in awe of what I had just seen. I'm sure I'll be back to see these awesome animals.
