It is a wonderful perspective. Just like looking up through trees, but they are beautiful purpley flowers instead. Maybe a butterfly's view.Very appealing and Spring -like. I like the idea of minis and not being daunted by a big blank canvas ! I expect you could do these any time you felt like it, and they look great on the screen. I like the sound of the little easels too !! v/f

Thanks, Jane. :-) I have to admit, I'm not as fond of this one when I see it on my screen. This painting really does look best at the size it actually IS, instead of blown up. One of the drawbacks of the minis is that they're too small for me to add any additional details. (I've seen minis online that are perfect and detailed, but I don't have that kind of skill -- or the tools -- yet.) When I first gathered stuff to start painting, I got these mini canvases and easels, because they seemed really cost-effective, and I was worried about messing up a huge canvas, and also, I thought maybe I could sell them on Etsy. I probably still could do that. They really are very easy and quick to paint. I think I spent three hours on this one, and only two hours on the crocuses. I got my canvases and easels at Wal-Mart, but I've seen them in craft stores, too. (And in craft stores, you can get them with black easels and or black canvases.)
