Description:

I painted this in Sydney 2004 during a true state of sadness and despair after breaking from a relationship.This Strange Disease is a poem (now also published as lyrics on the album; 'A Better Man' by the Venetian band, One Dimensional Man) I wrote about the torment of love and the infliction of being born with the constant need to express creativity.This was my first self-portrait attempt entirely from a mirror (no photo); in the dark with a small lamp light.
