Description:

This is a typical Chile roadside stand in New Mexico along the Rio Grande. Chile is sold by the bushel, sack and ristra (string of chile). New Mexico chile has a taste that cannot be found anywhere else. It comes in mild to very hot. Once you are accustomed to the taste, you cannot do without it for long.
