Description:

The large cats instill a disconnected mystery for many of us. Zoo animals give a chance to see them, but certainly in an unnatural setting. I thoroughly enjoyed working on this painting, the relaxed strength and muscle mass in the shoulders and neck of such a powerful animal at rest was compelling.

The dark background just makes that tiger pop right off the paper.. well done!
