You will never get these colors or sense of atmosphere if you paint from photos. And why would you? Too difficult to drag your stuff outside? Come come! No doubt there are greater risks if you are female. Bring a friend then. But here's my point: unless you open yourself up to the sensuality of nature, to those things that beckon, that draw you in, that touch you visually, then how can you claim to be a VISUAL artist. Imagination, angst, dreams, ideas, working from your head are all sources of images. But one must learn to see first. It is fundamental. One learns to see by looking at those things that beckon. If we cannot do that we might as well make gloves. Or juggle.
