To Each His Own
On this gorgeous sunny day in the Puget Sound area, I came across these old pier. Of course every seagull had made one of the old pier blocks their own. Kind of sad to see that the pier had all but disappeared, but for a few old creosote logs that came up from the water like a giant LockNess Monster! Lots of boats out, some trying to fish, others just taking in the warm sunshine that is so lacking in the Puget Sound. I love these puffy clouds, makes me want to dance. I love the smell of the salt air and the sound of the Seagulls waiting to see if someone gets a fish. I was just making sure we didn't run aground, or worst than that... that we didn't run into one of these pilings that was not above the water. One of the most dreaded things about boating. Running aground, or hitting your keel or prop into a deadhead. That's what we call them around here.... Oh the horror!
