Description:

I painted this in the early 90's and it still holds deep feelings towards what i experience even today. I often feel caught in the middle of a spiritual war that makes me feel as though I am being torn apart and thrown down. I have always been a heavily spiritual person. There has never seemed to be a way out of these attacks that I feel. Without sounding absolutely insane I would have to say that in spite of no matter how bad things look sometimes I refuse to give up. This is especially true for my art in which I feel was a gift from God that I must absolutely refuse to give up and put down. I have seen figures that have appeared to be shaped from both light and darkness. These experiences that I have had effected me in mind, body and soul. As heavy as all this has weighed on my heart I still feel a satisfaction from knowing I have not been taken out of the war and that I know there will be victory in the end.
