The sun is there. not so abstract and strangely transparent..we all know that transparency is a matter of lack of vision, or of too much intensity in the vision. For what is matter but dancing atoms so separated among themselves as the own stars? Abstraction is saying more than apparent chaos ...I think is a way of looking intensely to a "real Reality". But sometimes difficult to grasp. I love this pastel, pastel shows much of hard moving, a way of attatchment to the medium, a display of texture that does not slide flooently as watercolours, but having at the same time the wonderful qualities of the clay.
