Dear Rich, Thank you so much! I don't know what the man was looking at, but that lends an air of mystery to the photo, imo! Yes, that door was quite large!

Paradise, CA - United States

Congratulations, Miriam, your evocative B/W capture of the trattoria owner looking out for customers has been featured by the Philanthropic Artists For A Cause Who Donate FAA Proceeds or Original Art group! Thank you for your support of your courageous mother's care - liked!

Very captivating composition!! ..the distracted gentleman at the door - focused, on what? ..love his white shirt, his body language, (superb contrast!!) ..and, above all, the really neat quality (imo) is the tall, classic wood door,, propped open!! ..and the subtle details emerging thru the 2nd floor window, adds so much interest!! ..a classic, Miriam! Interesting observation, Frank. I haven't done an image here yet that is so vertical, but I agree with what you said!

Homewood, IL - United States

Like the vertical panorama, Miriam. Completes the moment I think.
