Description:
Aiko Morioka is a figurative sculptor working in clay, marble, plaster, bronze, and ceramic in styles ranging from classical to abstract. She is recognized for the diversity of her figurative work. Her art is collected nationally and her work has been published in "American Art Collector Magazine," San Francisco Bay Area Newspapers, "Art of Northern California," and in "Marin Homes." In September of 2004, 11 bronze and ceramic sculptures were selected to exhibit at the Marin Designers Showcase. She recently completed a solo exhibition at the Marin Theatre Company gallery and is currently beginning work on a large bronze sculpture which will be installed in the plaza of a Marin business complex.
