Description:

These 255' ships are no longer in commission. They served the U. S. Coast Guard well from WWII until the late l980's. The were essential to the safety of merchant ship convoys in the North Atlantic during WWII and served in combat areas in Korea and Viet Nam. During peace time, they made patrols in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans providing weather information and performing rescues in their area of operation.
