Painting - Alcohol Ink On Yupo Paper
This vivid abstract painting was created using Adirondack Alcohol Inks on yupo paper. If you are not familiar with alcohol inks they are wonderful and fun to paint with. They come in a variety of colors in small bottles with droppers. The yupo paper is non-porous so the ink flows freely across the surface allowing quite a bit of manipulation before the ink dries. The interesting textures were created by using a variety of application techniques including adding drops of ink, letting the ink drip down the paper and applying ink directly with a brush. Plain alcohol was splattered to create the dappled effect.
